Organised around 1 field trip and 3 studio meetings, Spontaneous Design is a 4 stage design narrative based on research, investigation, observation and proposal that take place in unexpected locations.
The course identifies architectural stories to be told, in secluded parts of the chosen context.
Built around 4 concentrated meetings, the programme will guide you through the narrative of design storytelling, encouraging you to take precise action while finding your topic of interest.
prerogative
Every participant, named “student”, will be expected to bring his imagination, free spirit, curiosity and courage to every Scientific Architectural Design Investigators course attended.
> field session 1 : destination, observations, dialogue, measure of things, discussion of item, conclusion
> studio session 2 : interest, idea, analysis, proposal.
> studio session 3 : section of the site, scenario, key drawing, in-between space and plan
> studio session 4 : meeting, presentation, drawings, questions, answers and proposals.

A new Spontaneous Design studio is formed when 6 people enrol on the course. The course lasts for 4 weeks.
frequency
takes place once a week, every week.
equipment
Students are required to have leisure clothing and shoes.
Every other equipment and tool needed will be provided in the studio as part of the Spontaneous Design Investigator student kit.
food / drinks
water, fruit, pastry, tea and coffee are on the menu as part of every studio session during the Spontaneous Design course break. The field trip session will be accommodated differently.

The course takes place with a minimum of 6 students.
